Nevada AB451 establishes a process for individuals to voluntarily restrict their firearm possession for a temporary period.
Nevada AB451 amends existing law to create a process for individuals to voluntarily restrict their ability to possess, have custody or control of, purchase, or otherwise acquire any firearm for a temporary period. The bill requires the Department of Public Safety to develop a process and forms for inclusion on, and removal from, a list of temporary restricted persons. Licensed firearm dealers and local law enforcement agencies must accept and transmit forms to the Central Repository for Nevada Records of Criminal History.
