Nevada AB434 amends existing law to prohibit employers from taking adverse employment actions against employees who decline to attend meetings or participate in communications about religious or political matters. This includes discharging, disciplining, discriminating, or retaliating against employees. The bill provides an exception for religious corporations, associations, or organizations. Violations are considered misdemeanors. The bill defines "political matters" as those relating to elections, political parties, legislative or regulatory changes, or joining political organizations.
