Nevada AB418 mandates training for animal handlers and kennels.

Nevada AB418 requires the governing bodies of counties and incorporated cities to adopt ordinances mandating training for animal handlers. Owners or operators of kennels, animal rescue organizations, and commercial establishments handling animals must complete a training course on animal handling. This training must be renewed every two years. Exemptions include businesses exclusively handling equine animals, veterinarians, and animal shelters. The act also defines terms such as "animal rescue organization," "breeder," "pet groomer," and "retailer.
