Nevada AB385 prohibits counties with a population of 700,000 or more from banning cooling tower systems in certain projects.

Nevada AB385 revises provisions relating to governmental administration by prohibiting the governing body of a county with a population of 700,000 or more from adopting a building code or ordinance that prohibits or limits the use of cooling tower systems in projects requiring 500 nominal tons or more of cooling capacity. The bill also authorizes such governing bodies to establish a process to exempt certain projects from such prohibitions or limitations. The provisions do not apply to projects for industrial or warehouse purposes.
