Complete·5/28/25

Nevada AB36 revises Medicaid provider hearing procedures, setting a 90-day request deadline and prohibiting certain staff from serving as hearing.

Nevada AB36 amends Medicaid regulations to revise procedures for hearings concerning actions against service providers. It mandates that providers request a hearing within 90 days of receiving notice of an action, unless extenuating circumstances are present. The bill also prohibits hearing officers from being the same staff who investigated or made the initial decision. The Division must adopt regulations detailing allowable hearing actions and extenuating circumstances. The changes apply to hearings requested on or after January 1, 2026.
