Nevada AB321 amends existing law to allow individuals convicted of certain criminal offenses to apply to the court to have the judgment of conviction set aside and receive a certificate of second chance. This certificate removes disqualifications for obtaining a professional or occupational license and prohibits the conviction from being used in certain legal actions. The bill also requires the State Forester Firewarden to establish a hiring program for appointing former offenders who completed firefighting training in conservation camps to firefighting positions without competition.
