Nevada AB266 amends existing law to prohibit discrimination against breastfeeding in public accommodations. It mandates that the Department of Health and Human Services post information on Medicaid coverage for breastfeeding supplies and lactation support services. The bill also requires the Department to develop a public education program about lactation. It prohibits public accommodations from denying services to breastfeeding individuals and makes such actions misdemeanors. The Nevada Equal Rights Commission is authorized to investigate complaints and hold hearings on violations.
