AB263

Revises provisions relating to homelessness. (BDR 20-96)

Complete·6/3/25

Nevada AB263 requires certain counties to establish homeless outreach teams to support homeless persons in areas of economic distress.

Nevada AB263 mandates that the board of county commissioners in counties with a population of 700,000 or more establish homeless outreach teams. These teams must provide support to homeless individuals near schools, parks, and senior housing in areas experiencing pervasive poverty, unemployment, or economic distress. Additionally, the teams are required to develop a plan in collaboration with the regional transportation commission for outreach and clean-ups related to homeless persons on public highways or public rights-of-way in these distressed areas.
