Nevada AB252 revises provisions relating to the Legislative Department of the State Government.

Nevada AB252 creates the Office of Ombudsman for Legislative Employees within the Legislative Counsel Bureau. The Ombudsman assists legislative employees in understanding their rights and responsibilities, finding solutions to workplace conflicts, and mediating disputes. The Ombudsman cannot oppose or urge legislation except to make recommendations to the Legislature. The bill also requires the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Legislative Operations and Elections to conduct a study on legislative employment issues, including workplace satisfaction and challenges.
