Introduced Text

Nevada AB240 requires schools to designate athletic teams by biological sex, prohibiting mixed-sex teams unless they are explicitly coed.

Nevada AB240 mandates that public and private schools, as well as institutions of higher education, must designate athletic teams and sports based on biological sex at birth. Teams must be labeled as either for males, females, or coed. Teams designated for one sex cannot include participants of the other sex. The bill also prohibits certain entities from taking adverse actions against schools for maintaining separate teams based on sex.
