Allows any county to create the office of registrar of voters.
Nevada AB237 removes the population requirement for counties to establish the office of registrar of voters. Previously, only counties with a population of 100,000 or more could create this office. Now, any county can establish the office, with the board of county commissioners setting qualifications, duties, and compensation for the registrar. Upon appointment, the registrar assumes all powers and duties of the county clerk related to elections, except those specified in NRS 293.393. This act becomes effective on July 1, 2025.
