Introduced Text

Interim study to examine natural gas production issues in Nebraska.

The Nebraska Legislature proposes an interim study to examine issues related to natural gas production. The study will evaluate whether natural gas companies have sufficient capacity to meet home heating, electric power generation, ethanol production, and agriculture industry needs. It will also assess existing pipelines, pipeline capacity, firm supply, storage, and the affordability of rising natural gas prices. The Natural Resources Committee will conduct the study and report findings to the Legislative Council or Legislature.
