The Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee of the Legislature will conduct an interim study to review the quality and availability of assistance to Nebraska veterans and their families. The study will examine benefits services provided by veteran service officers, federal law on accreditation, federal penalties, the process for determining eligibility for benefits, and the Veterans Affairs disability claims review process. The committee will make a report of its findings and recommendations to the Legislative Council or Legislature.
