Nebraska LR404 proposes an interim study to examine Nebraska statutes and processes related to developmental disability and aged and disabled waivers. The study will cover recent eligibility requirements and caps on waivers, assessment tools for developmental disabilities, benefits of transitioning to section 1634 status under the Social Security Act, and the use of algorithm-based assessment processes. The Health and Human Services Committee will conduct the study and report findings to the Legislative Council or Legislature.
