Nebraska LB997 modifies the State Procurement Act by changing the approval process for emergency contracts exceeding $50,000. Under the bill, state agency directors or their designees can approve such contracts in emergencies, with documentation submitted to the Director of Administrative Services and the Auditor of Public Accounts within three business days. The original section 73-815 is repealed.
