LB951

Nebraska LB951 would include extraterritorial zoning jurisdiction in municipal elections and districts.

Nebraska LB951 amends state statutes to include the extraterritorial zoning jurisdiction of cities in their governing board districts. Electors residing in these areas would be considered electors of the city. The bill also mandates that cities redraw their district boundaries to include the extraterritorial zoning jurisdiction. The extraterritorial zoning jurisdiction is defined as the unincorporated area beyond the city's corporate boundaries, varying by city class. The bill repeals certain original sections and amends others to reflect these changes.
