Failed·4/17/26
Introduced Text

Nebraska LB927 amends the Nebraska Political Accountability and Disclosure Act to restrict foreign nationals from funding or organizing ballot.

Nebraska LB927 amends the Nebraska Political Accountability and Disclosure Act to redefine "foreign national" and impose stricter rules on their involvement with ballot question committees. It prohibits foreign nationals from making contributions or expenditures to support or oppose ballot questions. Ballot question committees must certify that no funds have been accepted from foreign nationals. Violations result in fines. Domestic subsidiaries of foreign nationals can contribute if they can prove sufficient domestic funds.
