LB925

Nebraska LB925 prohibits unauthorized street camping in public spaces and rights-of-way.

Nebraska LB925, known as the Safe Parks and Public Spaces Act, aims to protect the public from the dangers of unauthorized street camping in public parks, rights-of-way, and other public spaces. The act defines camping as using an area as a substitute for regular shelter, evidenced by the presence of temporary shelters or personal property. Political subdivisions are prohibited from allowing unauthorized camping on public property or rights-of-way. Violators face civil actions and potential forfeiture of state funds.
