Failed·4/17/26
Introduced Text

Nebraska LB910 requires convicted sexual offenders against children to pay a fee for each electronic device seized during prosecution.

Nebraska LB910 mandates that defendants convicted of sexual offenses against children pay a $100 fee for each electronic device seized during their prosecution. These fees are to be remitted to the State Treasurer and credited to the Nebraska State Patrol Cash Fund. The State Patrol will use these fees to cover the costs of forensic analysis of the seized devices. If a defendant is found to be indigent, the court may waive these fees.
