Authorizes economic development programs for housing construction or rehabilitation in metropolitan and primary class cities.

This bill amends the Local Option Municipal Economic Development Act to redefine qualifying businesses and authorize economic development programs for housing construction or rehabilitation in metropolitan and primary class cities. Qualifying businesses include those deriving income from construction, early childhood care, and retail trade. Economic development programs can include grants, loans, or funds for housing construction or rehabilitation for low or moderate-income persons, workforce housing plans, or affordable housing action plans.
