LB823

Nebraska LB823 revises regulations on open burning permits and the statewide open burning ban.

Nebraska LB823 modifies the rules for open burning permits and the statewide open burning ban. It allows local fire chiefs to issue permits for open burning when conditions are acceptable. The bill mandates that anyone intending to burn must notify the fire chief beforehand. It also outlines the conditions under which a permit can be issued and the details that must be included in the permit. The bill defines terms such as controlled burning and prescribed burning, and it repeals previous sections related to open burning.
