Nebraska LB79 provides for the dismissal of claims of direct negligence in civil actions involving commercial motor vehicles if the defendant stipulates that the negligence was by an employee or independent contractor acting within the scope of employment or contract. If the employee's or contractor's negligence is found to have caused the damages, the defendant's liability in the civil action will be determined.
