Amends Nebraska State Patrol Retirement Act to revise benefits for retirees and their dependents.

The bill amends the Nebraska State Patrol Retirement Act to modify benefits for retirees and their dependents. It specifies that upon the death of an officer before retirement, benefits are provided as if the officer had retired for reasons of disability. If there is a surviving spouse but no dependent child under nineteen, the spouse receives 175% of the officer's annuity for life. If there is a surviving spouse with dependent children under nineteen, the benefit is divided equally among the children.
