Nebraska LB734 amends the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program to waive work requirements for homeless individuals, veterans, and foster care individuals. It also requires the Department of Health and Human Services to apply for a waiver of work requirements for certain individuals and to maximize federal funding for the program. The bill eliminates eligibility for individuals with three or more felony convictions for possession or use of a controlled substance and those convicted of a felony involving the distribution of a controlled substance.
