Nebraska LB7 modifies the Foreign-owned Real Estate National Security Act by requiring nonresident aliens, foreign corporations, and foreign governments to complete affidavits when purchasing or leasing real estate. These affidavits must state that the purchaser is not affiliated with any foreign government or entity deemed a foreign adversary. The bill also mandates that restricted entities, including those on the Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctions lists, must annually certify compliance with national security agreements.
