Nebraska LB619 establishes a grant program for primary class cities and their counties to fund motor vehicle transportation infrastructure that links highways to the National System of Interstate and Defense Highways. The Department of Transportation will award these grants, with recipients required to submit annual reports until the funds are exhausted. Unused grant money must be repaid to the Department and credited to the General Fund. The Legislature intends to allocate fifteen million dollars from the General Fund for fiscal years 2025-26.
