Nebraska LB548 allows certain cities and villages to contract with industrial consumers of natural gas.
Nebraska LB548 authorizes political subdivisions that own and operate natural gas systems to enter into contracts with industrial consumers of natural gas. These consumers must be located within the state and require at least three billion British thermal units of natural gas per day on average. The contracts must last at least two years, excluding renewable terms. The industrial consumers cannot be served by investor-owned or governmentally-owned gas systems.
