Nebraska LB507 amends school transportation provisions for children with disabilities.
Nebraska LB507 amends the provisions relating to school transportation expenses for children with disabilities. It allows nonresident school districts to cover transportation costs for children with disabilities attending preschool or child care programs if agreed upon with the resident school district. The resident school district must provide one of several services to children with disabilities, including transportation expenses, visiting teachers for homebound children, or correspondence instruction. The bill repeals the original section 79-1129 of the Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska.
