Nebraska LB493 adopts the Uniform Public Expression Protection Act, which aims to provide expedited relief for civil actions based on public expression, such as communication in legislative or governmental proceedings, or exercise of constitutional rights. The act allows for a special motion to dismiss a cause of action if the moving party establishes that the act applies and the responding party fails to show that it does not.
