LB471

Nebraska LB471 prohibits state agencies, entities, counties, cities, and villages from restricting motor vehicles based on energy source and limits.

Nebraska LB471 aims to prevent state agencies, state entities, counties, cities, and villages from imposing restrictions on the use, purchase, or sale of motor vehicles based on the energy source powering any component of the vehicle. Additionally, it restricts the Department of Environment and Energy from seeking waivers from the federal Clean Air Act to implement stricter vehicle emission standards than those mandated by the United States. This bill ensures that decisions regarding motor vehicle energy sources and emission standards remain aligned with federal requirements.
