Limit increases in property tax bills to the lesser of inflation rate or 3%.

Nebraska LB424 sets a cap on annual increases in property tax bills, limiting them to the lesser of the inflation rate or 3%. The inflation rate is determined by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers, as reported by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. This cap does not apply if the increase is due to improvements on the property.
