Nebraska LB412 amends provisions relating to interventions in paternity proceedings. It allows a person claiming to be the biological father to intervene in a juvenile court case to establish paternity. The bill modifies the definition of "child" to mean a person under the age of eighteen years, regardless of whether they were born out of wedlock. It also updates the definition of "child born out of wedlock" to include children whose parents have relinquished their rights for adoption.
