Nebraska LB411 amends the Nebraska Teacher Recruitment and Retention Act to change grant eligibility and amounts for teachers.

Nebraska LB411 modifies the Nebraska Teacher Recruitment and Retention Act by altering the eligibility criteria and amounts for retention grants. Teachers can now receive a retention grant of $2,500 for their first through sixth school years, $3,000 for years seven through fifteen, and $4,000 for years sixteen and beyond. High-need retention grants of $5,000 are available for teachers with endorsements in special education, mathematics, science, technology, or dual credit, who commit to specific school years.
