Nebraska LB36 amends the Wellhead Protection Area Act by requiring counties, cities, or villages with zoning, land-use, planning, or permit-granting authority over wellhead protection areas to notify the controlling entity of any proposed land-use or zoning regulation or building permit within such areas. This notification must occur no less than thirty days prior to any public hearing or anticipated legal action. The bill also repeals the original section 46-1501, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska, and harmonizes related provisions.
