Nebraska LB239 would change developmental disabilities funding priorities and eliminate a sunset date.

Nebraska LB239 would change the priorities for funding Medicaid home and community-based services waivers for persons with developmental disabilities. The bill sets six funding priorities, starting with those in immediate crisis due to caregiver death, homelessness, or threats to life and safety. Other priorities include dependents of armed forces members, those transitioning from the education system, wards of the state, and all other eligible persons.
