Introduced Text

Permits counties with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants to conduct elections by mail.

Nebraska LB237 allows counties with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants to apply to the Secretary of State for permission to mail ballots to registered voters for all elections. If approved, the county must follow specific procedures, including maintaining secure ballot drop-boxes and in-person voting locations. The bill repeals the original section 32-960, Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement, 2024.
