Nebraska LB234 redefines economic redevelopment areas under the Urban Redevelopment Act.
Nebraska LB234 amends the Urban Redevelopment Act by redefining economic redevelopment areas. These areas now include regions where the unemployment rate is at least 150% of the state's average and where the poverty rate is 20% or higher, based on the most recent federal census data. Additionally, any federal census tract directly adjacent to such areas is also included. The bill repeals the previous definition of economic redevelopment areas.
