Nebraska LB1251 changes provisions relating to liens of homeowners' associations and unit owners associations. The bill amends sections 52-2001 and 76-874 of the Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska. It modifies the conditions under which a homeowners' association can establish a lien on a member's real estate for unpaid assessments. The bill also specifies that the association's lien is prior to all other liens and encumbrances on real estate, except for certain exceptions.
