Nebraska LB1237 prohibits bringing weapons or prohibited substances into the State Capitol.

Nebraska LB1237 amends existing law to prohibit individuals from bringing weapons or prohibited substances into the State Capitol. Prohibited substances include explosive, incendiary, or other combustible devices, hazardous materials, or paint or spray paint. Weapons include firearms, knives, brass or iron knuckles, pepper spray, tasers, or stun guns. Exceptions include individuals with prior approval from the Nebraska State Patrol, law enforcement officers acting in the course of their duties, and qualified law enforcement officers or retired officers carrying a concealed handgun.
