Nebraska LB1226 provides veterans with a combination hunting and fishing permit and certain stamps at no cost.

Nebraska LB1226 amends the Game Law to offer a combination hunting and fishing permit, habitat stamp, aquatic habitat stamp, and Nebraska migratory waterfowl stamp to veterans who are legal residents of Nebraska. The bill specifies that veterans who are rated by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as fifty percent or more disabled as a result of service in the armed forces of the United States, or who are receiving a pension from the department as a result of total and permanent disability, are eligible for these permits and stamps without any fee.
