Nebraska LB12 eliminates time limits for civil actions against individuals directly causing injury from child sexual assault.

Nebraska LB12 amends the statute of limitations for civil actions related to child sexual assault. It removes time limits for actions against individuals directly causing injury to a victim of a violation of sections 28-319.01 or 28-320.01, if the violation occurred on or after August 24, 2017, or before that date if the action was not previously time-barred. For actions against others involved, the time limit is set at twelve years after the plaintiff's twenty-first birthday.
