Failed·4/17/26
Introduced Text

Nebraska LB1163 amends the Property Assessed Clean Energy Act to change provisions on delinquent annual assessments and PACE liens.

Nebraska LB1163 modifies the Property Assessed Clean Energy Act by altering the provisions for delinquent annual assessments and Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) liens. The bill specifies that for single-family residential property, any delinquent annual assessment, including interest and penalties, constitutes a PACE lien until paid in full. For other qualifying property, the lien is extinguished upon payment. The bill repeals the original section and declares an emergency, making it effective upon passage.
