LB1159

Require the naming of a person to the Nebraska Hall of Fame

Failed·4/17/26
Introduced Text

Nebraska LB1159 would require the naming of a person to the Nebraska Hall of Fame.

Nebraska LB1159 would require the Nebraska Hall of Fame Commission to name one person to the Nebraska Hall of Fame during each five-year period. The bill repeals the original section 72-728, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska, and establishes new rules for nominations and inductions. It mandates that no individual can be named to the Hall of Fame until at least 35 years after their death. The commission must also procure a plaque for listing the names of Nebraskans awarded the Medal of Honor, with space for future recipients.
