LB110

Nebraska LB110 mandates that pelvic examinations on anesthetized patients require prior written consent or be for emergency purposes.

Nebraska LB110 establishes that health care providers cannot perform pelvic examinations on anesthetized patients without prior written consent, unless the examination is for emergency diagnostic or treatment purposes, or a court orders it for evidence collection. If a pelvic examination is conducted on an unconscious or anesthetized patient, the patient must be notified in writing before discharge. This law aims to protect patient rights and ensure informed consent in medical procedures.
