Introduced·1/15/26
Introduced Text

Nebraska LB1081 mandates state agencies and political subdivisions to purchase U.S.-made flags.

Nebraska LB1081 requires state agencies and political subdivisions to purchase flags made in the United States. This applies to both the U.S. and Nebraska flags, starting January 1, 2027. The flags must be 100% manufactured in the U.S. from U.S.-grown or produced materials. Exceptions are made for hand-held flags or those smaller than eight inches wide and six inches high. The bill amends existing statutes to include this requirement and repeals the original sections.
