Nebraska LB1043 amends the Medical Assistance Act to mandate the inclusion of antidepressant, antipsychotic, and anticonvulsant prescription drugs on the preferred drug list. The Department of Health and Human Services must consider all therapeutic classes of prescription drugs for inclusion, except for these specific drugs which are now explicitly required. The department must include a drug on the list if it is therapeutically equivalent or superior to a listed drug and has an equal or lower net cost, after considering rebates or discounts.
