Introduced Text

Nebraska LB102 amends the aid to dependent children program by changing the standard of need calculation.

Nebraska LB102 modifies the aid to dependent children program by adjusting the standard of need for payments. Effective July 1, 2026, the standard of need for a single individual will be set at a specific dollar amount, with additional amounts added for each additional person in the unit. The standard of need will be adjusted every two years based on the Consumer Price Index growth rate. This bill also repeals the original section 43-513 of the Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska and replaces it with new provisions.
