Failed·4/17/26
Introduced Text

Allows a lien for professional services rendered by a physical therapist in personal injury claims.

LB1012 amends the Revised Statutes to allow a lien for professional services provided by a physical therapist in personal injury claims. The lien applies to the amount due for services, reduced by any contracted discount for those with private insurance. The measure of damages for medical expenses is the private party rate. The lien does not apply to those covered under the Nebraska Workers' Compensation Act. The lienholder must provide medical records and testimony upon request and with consent. The original section is repealed.
