Complete·2/26/25

Corrects an incorrect reference in the medical cannabis initiative petition language.

Nebraska LB1 corrects an incorrect reference in the medical cannabis initiative petition language adopted by voters. The bill amends the definition of "cannabis" and eliminates the requirement for a health care practitioner's declaration that the benefits of cannabis outweigh the potential harms for a patient's medical condition. It also modifies the definition of "qualified patient" and "caregiver" and repeals the original sections of the initiative laws. The changes take effect immediately upon passage.
