Montana SJ46 requests an interim study on food security and agricultural prosperity in Montana. The study will examine the availability, production, and access to food, as well as opportunities to add value in agricultural production. It will also explore existing programs and initiatives focused on food security and agricultural prosperity, including the Farmers to Families Food Box Program. The study will be conducted in collaboration with the general public and relevant state agencies and stakeholders, with final results reported to the 70th Legislature by September 15, 2026.
